9/22/2023 0 Comments Metroid prime remastered gamestop![]() How about Remastered 2d Mario? Do to HD what All-Stars was to the 16-bit Era. Old games selling is showing investors how much money Nintendo is leaving on the table. Games are supposed to be a novelty… a toy. It contradicts the concept of games being ‘art’. Two: Old games aren’t supposed to sell like this. They really, really, really want to go all digital! ![]() Don’t you guys realize you all should be buying digital now? This is interfering with Nintendo’s forecasts. The physical versions are for the old farts. One: The excess demand isn’t going to digital. Two big problems will appear for Nintendo. Nintendo will survey those who are buying the Metroid Prime Remastered and wonder who they are and why they’re doing it. Eventually, these guys are going to get smart and say a popular game is available ‘only in the physical store’. They’ve retcon everything else about Metroid so why not this?Īnyway, don’t blame retail for wanting to put their copies in the actual store. Might as well declare Sakamoto made Metroid Prime now. Metroid Prime Remastered’s sales owe everything to the Sakamoto.”Īs for the rest of the developers of Metroid Prime? They’re gone. ‘The cause of Metroid Prime Remastered’s demand is all due to the Metroid revival caused by Metroid Dread. We don’t want to torture them, Sakamoto-san-san-san-san.Īnyway, here is the way how Nintendo will interpret these events: Sakamoto-san-san-san-san: “If people cannot get the Metroid Prime Remastered, they should buy Metroid Dread.” Wait…? Someone wants to speak through this blog!!! Let’s listen…Ībove: Everyone kneel and genuflect: it’s the ‘father’ of Metroid Sorry for those of you who didn’t get it. My copy of Metroid Prime Remastered was delivered by Best Buy today. The link above goes to the English version of the Asian release of the switch game. Better get them while they’re available!Īlso one more thing: they’re also selling a version that has Chinese instead of English, so don’t confuse the two. P.S- speaking of pixel remasters, play-Asia finally put up the English version of the Asian release of it on their stores. My guess is this is their way of doing damage control for the frothing demand of the release of this game. ![]() And the reason why I can confirm this with you is that before Nintendo allowed you to preorder a physical copy directly from their website, GameStop still had copies available for pre-order after every other retailer gave up, but you had to have it shipped to your address directly from their warehouse, and not have the option to pick up in store for whatever reason, so you had to pay a dumb shipping charge that marked up the final cost closer to $50. Right now either retail stores across the US are delisting the product from their online sites or are telling everyone that they’re unavailable like this example from Best Buy:īut the dirty secret is the reason why they’re doing this is so they can either find excuses to “cancel” their preorders, or delay them for the next batch, because Best Buy has copies in their physical stores (ok, I heard this from someone who was checking out at GameStop, which is where I got my copy of the game after calling them to confirm).Īnother interesting tidbit: the employee at GameStop said that he was told for the reason of not allowing any more pre-orders at their online page for metroid prime is because management said that they want to reserve any copies of the game sent to their retail stores to be sold on a first come, first serve basis. So you know the real reason why the online orders stopped? Nintendo has retarded logistics, that’s why. ![]()
